JOB DESCRIPTION

Santa Marina is an uber-luxe retreat for explorers and collectors of the world’s island idyll experiences. Set overlooking the exquisite and iconic Ornos Bay, Santa Marina crucially commands the only private beach on Mykonos, making its transparent turquoise waters and white silk sands a genuine sanctuary from the public eye.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent guest services and follow the Brand Standards.
  • Audit, balance, post and report on the front desk, rooms and credit operations and reset all registers to ensure accurate, timely function and optimal operations management.
  • Use logical thinking and personal judgment to perform a variety of office tasks that require special skills and knowledge.
  • Attend to guest needs at the front desk.
  • Run the night audit final, after ensuring all revenue is in balance.
  • Manage paperwork and requests as designated by Front Office Manager.
  • Follow the credit policy and procedures of the hotel.
  • Thoroughly understand accounting POS for Front Office and Food and Beverage functions.
  • Ensure that each cashier outlet and front office cashier's work has been properly completed and balanced.
  • Prepare and distributes morning reports and overnight audit reports to appropriate parties in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure that all front office charges, miscellaneous charges, and adjustments have been posted and balanced.
  • Review and analyse all adjustments.
  • Answer telephones and handles special requests, questions, complaints, and problems.
  • Can arrange last-minute overnight transportation according to guests’ needs.
  • Understand applicable emergency procedures and can inform the higher manager promptly.

Experience, Requirements & Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a luxury hotel.
  • BA in Hospitality and Tourism Management or relevant studies.
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written Greek and English. Knowledge of any additional language will be an advantage.
  • Extensive experience with Opera PMS.
  • Available to start in May 2023.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Outgoing personality with the ability to communicate with guests and colleagues efficiently.
  • Ability to ensure security and confidentiality of guest and hotel information.
  • Must have the flexibility to work on a 24-hour rotating roster including public holidays and weekends.
