Print Services & Solutions is the managed services business unit of the Central Europe & Eastern (CEE) Market. The Managed Print Services (MPS) portfolio focuses on optimizing copying/printing/workflows and imaging so information flows seamlessly, while taking the pain and cost out of print management for our customers. This can range from a simple usage-based lease to a fully managed outsourcing service. Based on market opportunities and HP’s competitive advantages, MPS has very ambitious growth objectives.

Within the EMEA Adoption Team, you will be part of a group of Technical Consultants and within virtual teams such as Pre-Sales TCs and Customer Success Managers (CSM), provide printing technical consultancy for Transition Projects and during the lifecycle of the MPS contract.

In this team we are looking for a Technical Consultant (f/m/d) to join our team!

Your responsibilities:

  • Work within virtual teams e.g. with Technical Consultants (TC) and Customer Success Managers (CSM) to provide printing technical consultancy before and while design (proof of concept) & installation services to customers. Become the technical advisor for Managed Print Services (MPS) for a pre-defined group of customers. Act as a single point of in case of a Software - Solution installation or upgrade and as well in technical escalations. Act as the colleague in the middle between customer and HP labs / expert centers.

  • Apply basic foundation of a function's principles, theories and concepts to assignments of limited scope. Uses professional concepts and theoretical knowledge acquired through specialized training, education or previous experience. Develops expertise and practical knowledge of applications within business environment. Acts as team member by providing information, analysis and recommendations in support of team efforts. Exercises independent judgment within defined parameters.

  • Technical support in case of escalations and ability to work with HP 3rd level development department.

  • Recommendation and presentation of new products.

  • Support in the operation of the services related to the output environment of the end customers.

  • Support with the implementation and ongoing operation of the software solutions deployed (device monitoring tools, centralized printer management, pull printing, printing from portable devices, e-Print, fleet management...).

  • Support for certifications and implementation of new device drivers / firmware

  • Clarification regarding system dependencies (device firmware, Pull-Printing, Digital Sending, etc.)

  • Make recommendations when new application software, firmware or drivers should be updated

  • Provide guidance for device, application, and infrastructure roadmap planning

  • Responsible for delivery of assigned tasks within the delivery cycle of a project. Understands a number of HP technologies in order to provide technical systems management support or deliver part of a detailed technical design which meets customer requirements. Tasks may include software installations, performing systems configurations, troubleshooting systems errors/problems, monitoring and/or testing systems performance, data and network analysis and contribute to the design of technical solutions for customer environments.

  • Work under supervision of technical lead and with customer nominated representatives to accomplish assigned tasks.

  • Act professionally with HP customers.

  • Participate as part of a team and maintain good relationships with team members and customers.

  • Understand HP's strategy.

  • Be aware of knowledge tools and their application.

What do we expect?

  • 3 - 5 years of technical experience in computer science, printing or as service technician.

  • General understanding of computer science, software, printing and networking

  • Analytical problem solving in a technical environment and collaboration with support organizations.

  • Has sufficient technical knowledge to assist with the completion of specific deliverables.

  • Able to communicate concepts with team and to peers.

  • Able to produce basic documentation to required standards.

  • Demonstrates understanding of assigned discipline or technical area.

  • Demonstrate fundamental technical knowledge.

  • Fluent in German & English.

  • Flexibility and travel required (50%).

  • Driver License (car).

We are legally obliged to quote the KV minimum salary (related to KV Handel für Angestellte) for the position which is € 39,270 gross annual salary with 38,5 h/w. For this role an annual salary starting at € 46,000 gross (All-in) is planned - with willingness to pay more depending on individual experience and qualification.
