Local marketing services & printing firm seeks Managers to oversee our teams of Digital Press Operators & Fulfillment staff. This Manager is responsible for ensuring the completion of all digital press work in compliance with job specifications and quality standards. This person must schedule workloads to meet customer time requirements. In addition, he/she will ensure daily and weekly maintenance on all digital equipment to ensure optimum output. This person is vital to the overall customer service provided and will work closely with other team members. Since we are a small team this person is expected to be very hands on and step in when necessary to lay artwork, print boxes, work with customers and fulfill orders when needed.
Qualifications:
- College degree
- Ability to lead a team
- Improve processes using process orientation and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good mathematical skills (helps with measurements to ensure print lines up as intended for customer)
- Ability to write instructions to machine set-up and maintenance.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality and attention to workstation.
- Make recommendations on improving productivity
- Digital room experience a plus
- Desire to learn photoshop and other design software a plus
- Ability to talk with some customers via chat / email about any requests and / or issues they have with their designs / results
- Knowledge of how shipping process with Shopify, ship label apps (ShipStation, EasyShip, etc) for UPS, FedEx and USPS a big plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage team for Operations of Equipment - Black & White Digital Presses
- Comply with all OSHA safety requirements - keep employees safe
- Clean and maintain equipment following daily and weekly schedules (video tutorials)
- Assist Bindery, Wide Format Operation and other areas of the facility if needed
- Ability to lift 50-90 lbs consistently through the day (push around even more with use of a pallet jack and potentially forklift later)
- Hit productivity targets and make recommendations to do so
- Travel to at least two sites (Sarasota, FL and Portland, OR plus new locations)
