Location: Birmingham, Alabama

To coordinate the daily activities of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) and student nurse anesthetists including staffing, assignments, scheduling, credentialing and orientation. To interview, hire, train, eval uate, discipline and discharge subordinate personnel. To provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests. To assist in the management of the department budget.

Salary Range: $140753.6 - $240697.6

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Speciality by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required or should be obtained within 30 days of employment. Depending on the unit/department, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) m ay be required.
