This critical leadership role for Children’s Cancer Institute will see you leading the Customer & Supporter team to deliver a growth income budget across all fundraising streams, by developing and implementing an engagement strategy that builds our supporter base to achieve positive, sustainable income growth by optimising donor lifetime value. This role will ensure excellent relationship management is provided to our supporters and donors through every touch point, to create natural advocacy and optimise loyalty, and income. Developing effective campaigns and customer journeys that grow and engage our supporter base.
Overall you will adopt an agile approach, connecting ideas, and developing people. You will explore best practice and market analysis to inform decisions, strategies, and execution. Managing and preparing business cases, frameworks, models, and reporting, to drive opportunity, mitigate emerging risks and issues, and align functional strategies and practices to achieve better outcomes for the organisation. You will work collaboratively with the Marketing and Fundraising Leadership team to deliver all activity effectively and efficiently, achieving agreed financial and non-financial performance metrics. As part of the Institute’s Extended Leadership Team you will contribute to cross functional projects to aid whole organisation transformation.
As our General Manager Customers and Supporters your purpose will be to:
- Lead the fundraising team to achieve strategic growth of our supporter and donor base to optimise life-time value and sustainable unrestricted income.
- Support and advance the Individual Giving team in their roles to successfully acquire, retain and engage new donors and supporters
- Support and advance the Corporate and Philanthropy teams in their roles to successfully acquire and develop high value relationships
- Champion innovative ways to acquire supporters and donors and increase their life-time value by leveraging new technologies, including digital marketing.
- Develop pipeline planning, monitoring, and reporting for all income streams to include assessment of supporter and donor engagement.
- Provide support to the Director Marketing & Fundraising for new opportunities including capital or capacity campaigns and the drive to grow our national base.
- Drive alignment of strategy, objectives, and outcomes, focusing on betterment through innovation, digitisation, and standardisation.
To succeed you will have…
- Solid evidence of senior management experience in a similar fundraising or commercial role, to include leadership, people management, income generation, relationship management, agency negotiation and analysis/reporting.
- Degree level or equivalent qualification in a business, marketing, or relevant field
- Demonstrated capability in change and project management.
- Experience in developing a fundraising or commercial marketing/sales strategy including implementation of this, business planning, reporting and preparation of presentations for the senior management and board teams.
- Evidence of leveraging new technologies via digital activations, predictive analysis of consumer behaviour and triggered marketing.
- Management experience to lead an intelligent, experienced team and help their development to leverage their skills and knowledge.
