About the role:

Reporting directly through to our Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Administrator role is based at D Shed which is one of our Port Chalmers sites. As Warehouse Administrator you will be responsible for maintaining quality systems to ensure accurate inventory control and traceability of all product history. Your duties will include correct loading of product against orders, conducting stock reconciliations, producing required documentation such as export documents and E-certs, recording data in the appropriate databases, invoicing, and container bookings. You will be a pro at maintaining professional and effective relationships with both internal and external customers.

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • High levels of accuracy while remaining efficient
  • Sound numeric skills
  • The ability to deal confidently with people to resolve issues
  • Ability to work independently, with little supervision
  • Fantastic written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with computer-based inventory systems is desirable

Heads up:

  • Administrative skills testing will be completed as part of our recruitment process
  • Safety is our #1 priority and therefore you must be able to pass Ministry of Justice, ACC checks and a medical which includes a drug and alcohol test.
  • Port Otago also conducts random drug and alcohol tests on an on-going basis
  • The ordinary hours of work will be eight hours per day, Monday to Friday, inclusive, a total of 40 hours per week
