Base Location: Great Island CCGT, Campile, Co. Wexford, Ireland
Salary: €54,464 - €79,378 (inclusive of local allowance and shift allowance) + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time - 12hr shifts as per a shift roster | Flexible First options available
Production Technicians work as part of a small shift team with the following key responsibilities:
- Operation of the 464MW Great Island CCGT power station in accordance with all procedures and the site environmental permit.
- Undertake authorised duties to facilitate safe plant maintenance.
- Participate pro-actively in the continuous improvement of plant operational practices and associated documentation.
- Pro-actively investigate plant and process trends to identify opportunities for improved safety, efficiency, availability or reliability.
- Be trained and enact duties as a first aider.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Experience in the operation of power generation or similar process installations, or a fundamental understanding of power generation principles and ambition to develop in the role.
- Qualifications relevant to power plant operation and/or maintenance.
- Ability and discipline to follow rules, procedures and instructions.
- Willingness to work 12hr shifts as per a set roster which will cover operation of the plant on a 24 hour per day, 365 days per year basis.
- Some level of flexibility to provide shift cover to allow colleagues to take annual leave, training events and short term emergent leave.
- A basic understanding of process and behavioural safety.
- A full “B” drivers licence.
