PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans and executes moderately sized, moderately complex multi-disciplinary research projects within predefined deadlines
- Requests and leverages resources as required; prioritizes work streams and deadlines for team members for specific research projects
- Ensures consistent performance of products
- Identifies milestones, sets timelines, and ensures coordination with other process owners
- Continuously assesses and addresses safety risks for himself or herself
- Provides input to the business case; communicates key information to drive technical decisions within the business unit
- Improves and modifies existing technologies, catalysts, products, and procedures with tangible business impact
- Presents technical papers in regional or international conferences/meetings
- Leads, develops, coaches and mentors program team
- Participates in community corporate citizenship events
- Owns a specific process or application within the TECHNOLOGY & INNOVATION group
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Ph.D. in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- No minimum years of relevant experience in related field required with a PhD (greater number of years of experience with lesser degree of education)
- Strong analytical skills
- Demonstrated communication and writing skills
- Practical experience in running experiments
- Project management skills
- Ability to draft and present technical papers and reports
