Ngā haepapa | Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Security Manager - Systems & Enablement, this role is to provide specialist security support, training, assistance and advice across the Parliamentary Precinct and the Electorate and Community offices throughout the country to lead the development of a strong and sustainable safety and security culture.

Tō kete | What you will bring to the role:

  • Experience in the Security industry
  • Proven track record as someone who enjoys delivering a client focused service
  • Experience in identifying threats, risks and security controls that are efficient and effective
  • Have a good understanding of government security best practices, policies, strategies and initiatives
  • Be a motivated individual who can deliver under pressure and work well both independently and within a team
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively engage with a wide range of people
  • Demonstrated experience as a security champion, someone who is passionate, enthusiastic and motivated to drive an exceptional security culture

Please note that due to the nature of the work we do, you must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET level National Security Clearance.

The appointing salary range for this role is $91,340 to $100,847 per annum. Appointments will be based on skills and experience (please note, the full salary range extends beyond this to allow for tenure progression).
