INNOCEAN USA, a full-service ad agency located in sunny Huntington Beach, CA, is seeking a VP, Media Intelligence to join our growing media department!

This is a hybrid role.

OVERVIEW

The VP Media Intelligence will support the IUS Media Team and agency team by managing the Business Intelligence Team and their output supporting client business. The successful candidate will work closely with IUS Media Team and IUS leadership to present regular performance reporting both internally and to clients.

The candidate will need create synergistic and complementary reporting to support agency and client business objectives. The candidate will also be expected to partner across not only the media team, but other IUS disciplines and external agencies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Work as lead client contact for all media intelligence analytics for IUS Media’s OEM clients. This includes pushing the client forward in using data driven intelligence through clear POVs and presentations as well as continual conversations around the uses of intelligence for decision-making processes
  • Analyze complex media data systems to discern insights, drive solutions and deliver effective and efficient marketing investments to help clients connect more directly and efficiently with their customers and meet their business objectives
  • Use data and emerging technologies to help clients find and reach their best prospects, learn from experiments, measure/optimize their promotional investments, predict future behavior, build models for forecasting, and multi-touch point marketing programs across all forms of media.
  • Effectively simplify findings, enabling others to comprehend complex ideas and concepts.
  • Design market-reporting tools that support proper and quick analysis of business environment/trends in usable formats that are senior management ready.
  • Improve legacy processes and systems
  • Provide accurate attribution platforms/models across multiple media channels
  • Combine disparate data sets to expose brand realities, market opportunities and potential marketing strategies
  • Author of Agency POVs on trends and developments in media analytics
  • Provide overall leadership, guidance & mentorship to the Media Intelligence team

Management Responsibilities

  • The VP will manage the business output of the Media Intelligence team and the growth of the Sr. Media Intelligence Analyst and the Media Intelligence Analysts in the IUS media department.

Fiscal Responsibilities

  • The VP will be responsible for managing the budget which funds the tools and data sources that informs the Media Intelligence team.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Abilities

  • 12+ years media/marketing analytics experiences with a record of accomplishment in achieving desired business results through process optimization and the development of measurement framework
  • Results-focused, driven by the desire to make marketing go further, faster and better than before using technology, analytics and insights
  • All-around data nerd, quick strategic thinker, a natural leader, an excellent communicator-highly motivated while being highly precise.
  • Specialties include media analytics, data science, big data, data-driven decisions, online services analytics, modeling and analysis, product innovation, leadership and operational strength
  • Extensive working knowledge in database marketing principles
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis and marketing mathematical rigor
  • Thrive in diverse work environments and interactive, media and creative companies


Experience and Education

  • B.S/B.A. preferred
  • Media experience preferred
  • Previous OEM/retail automotive experience a plus, but not necessary.

The salary range for this role is $220,000-$245,000. Pay is dependent upon several factors including but not limited to: client, experience, training and/or transferable skills.
