Essential Functions:
Codes and enters Anesthesia and CRNA professional fee charges; accurately submits electronic and paper UB92 and HCFA 1500 bills to carriers for services rendered at USA Hospitals; obtains anesthesia records from all facilities for use in coding and entering charges; reads medical records to determine the appropriate code and charge to enter; using a PC, inputs correction to online claims for electronic submissions and inputs corrections to the SMS patient account for any changes made on the UB92; enters charge data and account notes for use in billing and follow-up of anesthesia changes; maintains files for anesthesia records; checks interrupts and e-mails daily and takes appropriate action; notifies supervisor of changes needed in electronic edits and/or Charge Description Master; prepares reports as re! quired; notifies supervisor of system problems with Premis and! SMS; stays abreast of billing requirements; abides by and enforces all compliance requirements and hospital policies and procedures, including those pertaining to confidentiality; uses appropriate communications skills with physicians, patients, family members, and hospital staff in person and via telephone; responds to overhead pages; assists with orientation of new employees; adheres to current Infection Control and Safety standards; regular and prompt attendance; ability to work schedule as assigned and overtime as required; related duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent and three years hospital and/or medical business office experience. Collection experience preferred.

Monday - Friday
7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
