Tri Pointe Homes is looking for an experienced, detail orientated, problem solving individual to join our talented group as an Organizational Development Specialist in our Home Office.
Position Highlights: The Organizational Development (OD) Specialist will collaborate with the Home Office and all Divisions to design and implement training programs and manage talent processes for all departments and team members across the company to ensure alignment with Tri Pointe Homes’ mission, values, brand pillars, talent management strategy, compliance training and business needs.
Position Responsibilities:
Ensures the development and implementation of training initiatives by:
- Consulting with business leaders to determine the most imperative business and organizational issues and areas that can benefit from improved process and/or training programs.
- Planning, designing, implementing, and enhancing practical talent processes across the business such as Onboarding, Performance Management, Employee Engagement, Recognition, Succession Planning, 9 Box, Career Development, etc.
- Ensuring that the phases of the employee career cycle are appropriately structured and that effective systems are in place and aligned with the business strategy and culture and recommending phase improvements or changes as necessary.
- Planning, designing, and providing leadership development programs, using sound instructional design techniques and the knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, on-the-job training, online training, meetings, and workshops.
- Developing and facilitating team building and effectiveness activities including assessments such as DiSC.
- Participating in the development and implementation of metrics to demonstrate the business impact of leadership and organizational development initiatives.
- Providing support to the Learning and Development team and other Human Resources team members, senior leadership, and the field organization.
- Designing and deploying comprehensive training content by partnering with other subject matter experts, vendors and instructional designers, supported by solid learning experiences to support leadership and organizational development strategies for all functions.
- Serving as the marketing ambassador to ensure team members across the organization are aware of and utilize essential training programs and resources.
- Lead and manage talent-related HR systems including, onboarding, goals and performance, employee engagement, succession, recognition, and L&D SharePoint sites.
- Lead and manage the company's learning management system.
- Build communication, tools, and training materials to support and guide field HR Leaders to deploy talent related cyclical processes (i.e., performance management, succession planning)
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5-7 years of organizational development/training experience designing, developing, and delivering curriculum for functional groups.
- DiSC experience and/or certification (preferred)
- Blanchard Situational Leadership II certification (preferred)
- Franklin Covey Leadership certification (preferred)
- Prior experience working with LXP Platforms like Degreed, Percipio/Skillsoft, and LMS Platforms like Absorb, Cornerstone, etc. and Instructional Design using programs such as Articulate strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of established organizational development and training practices, including needs assessment, instructional design, onboarding, training, reinforcement strategies, assessments, and performance management.
- Demonstrated skill in the design and application of performance metrics development measurement and evaluation tools.
- Demonstrated skill with classroom facilitation to make clear and persuasive presentations and facilitate large group meetings.
- Demonstrated ability to build credibility quickly and collaborate with all levels within the organization.
- Skilled ability to provide business needs analysis and planning with leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound, independent judgments within established policies and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills with the ability to relate well and collaborate with other members of management and other departments at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments while meeting deadlines and demanding quality execution.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative in providing new ideas to improve process efficiencies.
- Demonstrated advanced skills with the standard features of various personal computer word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, pivot tables & V Lookups, and other proprietary software).
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: The expected base salary range for this position is between $98,100-142,700 per year, depending on experience and skillset. Base Salary is paid bi-weekly, every other Friday.
- Bonus: This position is eligible for an annual performance-based cash bonus. Bonuses are earned, calculated and paid in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Company’s applicable incentive plan document.
