The Dispatcher is responsible for effectively and efficiently managing the assignment and follow up of technicians to jobs so as to maintain the highest levels of customer service while meeting or exceeding company objectives.
Detailed Responsibility:
- Understands the skills, strengths and weaknesses of the field technicians so as to dispatch field technicians in relation to the job opportunity and ability of the technician.
- Provides all necessary information to field technicians.
- Debriefs each call before dispatching the technician. Updates the tally sheet appropriately.
- Creates a weekly written report to the Service Manager summarizing interaction with field technicians.
- Provides a tally sheet report weekly to the Sales Manager.
- Reviews technicians’ strengths with management on a predetermined schedule.
- Organizes On-Call schedule for technicians.
- “Time Stamps” field technicians for dispatch, arrival and completed times in the computer system. Verifies time cards.
- Contacts customer prior to dispatch to ensure their presence and method of payment via phone or e-mail.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications include:
- High school diploma.
- One year of office administration education or comparable work experience.
- Good computer skills. Knowledge of common office applications such as MS Word, MSExcel, MS Powerpoint.
- Experience with one or more business and invoicing systems.
- Type 50 words per minute.
- Excellent phone skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour
