Unlike many other housing supply companies, who simply manage accounts and contract with hotels, FreeStand is unique because we own our inventory, including furniture, and we focus on providing 3-4 bedroom single family homes, not apartments and condos.
This position is an important part of the operation and the selected candidate will be responsible for supporting our in-house Controller with processing QuickBooks transactions.

This opportunity starts off as part-time (20 weekly hours) but can grow into full-time hours over Q4 2023 if the candidate chooses to increase hours. Our company is preparing to expand nationally in Q4.
Position Background:
Work Location: Remote - Your home office
Schedule: 100% Virtual. 20 hours of work, per week.
We are looking for skilled data entry personnel who has experience in AR to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments. This role may include working closely with our accounting manager to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements, compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments. Our ideal candidate has the room to grow with our company, is experienced in using Quickbooks and is familiar with accounting principles. Ultimately, your responsibility is to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.
Responsibilities
- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process through QBO.
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct "category".
- Account Reconciliation(s).
- Enter data, maintain records and reporting while protecting sensitive financial data.
- Use "time doctor" software for accurate time capture and contractor payment processing.
Skills
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office, especially Excel.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
