OFFICIAL TITLE: Program Assistant, Stage 1 Child Care
Salary: $17/hour + Comprehensible benefit package (please see below for full benefits offered details).
Work location: Administrative Offices - Mid Wilshire, Los Angeles
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
Hybrid Schedule – 2 days onsite/3 days remote!
Occasional weekends or evenings.
Primary Duties: To provide administrative support to the Stage 1 Child Care Program; inclusive of maintaining parent and childcare provider data, generating reports as needed and customer service assistance.
Other Duties:
Enter and update family data in the agency database.
Review client eligibility
Assess case records.
Generate reports as assigned.
Assist with phone coverage and walk ins.
Print, log, and respond to childcare request within the required contractual timelines.
Responsible for team filing needs.
Attend outside meetings that educate clients on Pathway’s services.
Assist with parent and provider file audits.
Assist Specialists during enrollments and assessments, as assigned.
Assist Specialists with referrals by assessing and compiling client information in files.
Assist Specialists with referrals and transfers by verifying data from LRS.
Participate responsibly in department and Agency staff meetings.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum two years previous experience in office administration or related fields.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Strong Customer Service skills. Ability to work effectively with people from diverse economic and ethnic backgrounds.
High level of oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Windows based programs and data entry experience
Competency with written and spoken English.
Basic math competency.
Familiarity with basic office equipment.
Bilingual English/Spanish, English/Korean or English/Armenian.
