Title: Information Security Analyst
Location: Remote
Type: CONTRACT 4-6 months
Pay Rate: $100/hour
Duties:
- Establish technical processes to enable high-fidelity reporting of automated findings
- Update and automate vulnerability management workflows to support quality engagement on automated findings
- Build or enhance new services or tools to support vulnerability management
- Ensure timely resolution and engagement on vulnerability identification, remediation, triage, validation, and verification
- Establish automated integrations between asset inventory data and vulnerability data
- Provide reporting on key metrics for vulnerability management
Intended Outcomes:
- High-fidelity automated VM pipeline with standardized triage and validation models
- Consolidated and standardized vulnerability repository and service for automated findings to drive engagement via ticketing, alerting, triage, workflow management, etc.
- Comprehensive and automated exception service
- Enhanced workflow automation for manual and automated findings (via Jira or new UI/findings portal) to support
- Automated and consistent linkage between asset data and vulnerability data

What we look for in you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in engineering and automation
- Expertise in Vulnerability Management
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical security requirements and risks into terms that anyone can understand
- Ability to work independently and unblock yourself
Nice to haves:
- MS or PhD in Computer Science or related field
- Prior experience in software development with an emphasis on security
- Familiarity with programming languages and knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Experience in at least one of: Java, Go, Ruby or Python
- Experience designing, implementing and deploying production-level services
- Experience automating manual processes
- Experience in Jira
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering or related field
