DECATUR GENERAL POSITION PURPOSE: Responsible for the welfare of patients, especially where the effects of anesthesia are concerned. Recognizes physiological and pharmacological variations and intervenes in a timely manner to reverse unfavorable trends and notifies the attending anesthesiologist of the same. Notifies attending anesthesiologist of emergency care as soon as possible. Maintains adequate clinical records. Responsible for proper functioning of anesthesia equipment and supplies. Cooperates and coordinates with other health personnel providing patient care services.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and currently licensed to practice as a R.N. in the State of Alabama . Graduate of an accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia and currently certified to practice by the National Board on Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). Health Care Provider BLS, Pediatric BLS, and ACLS certified within three months of arrival.
