OUR CLIENT

Our client is a growing lower middle market private credit and structured equity fund based in Los Angeles. They make debt and equity investments of $5-$35 million to lower middle-market businesses to finance buyouts, minority recaps, acquisitions, and growth. Total AUM is $900+ million. It is one of the few women and minority owned firms in the country.


THE ROLE

As an Associate, you will play a key role in all aspects of the fund’s investment process, including evaluating new opportunities through financial and industry due diligence, financial modelling, preparing investment review memoranda, supporting origination activities, monitoring portfolio company financial and operating performance, and working closely with PE sponsors, investment banks, and other third parties relevant to transaction underwriting.

This is an opportunity to be coached and mentored by experienced private equity leaders in a team-based environment that can be entirely 100% remote if preferred. Superior performance can translate to a career track position.

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?

You have:
  • 2-4 years of strong investment experience (leveraged finance preferred), private equity, and/or cash flow-based direct lending experience (transaction advisory services experience will be considered too);
  • Knowledge of all aspects of M&A transactions, including transaction management, financial and valuation analysis (LBO, DCF, Operating Models), documentation, due diligence, and negotiations.
  • Advanced deal execution and/or project management skills - managing more than one transaction or initiative simultaneously is no sweat.
  • A professional, fun, and friendly personality with a hands-on, "no task is too big or too small" attitude.
  • Salary expectations that fall between $165k-$175k total compensation (base + bonus)
