What you’ll do:

We're now looking for a Site Manager Customer Projects who will work at Eaton's large sites (e.g. Microsoft data centers) in the Netherlands. You will work on site preparation through deliveries, construction and testing phases and as such have the authority to coordinate the daily operational works at site meetings where planning, coordination, and safety are reviewed. The site Manager represents the Project Manager and as such has the authority to coordinate the daily operational works at site. Represent Eaton at site meetings where planning, coordination, and safety are reviewed. Critical to the mission is to ensure all safety (EHS) and quality requirements met.

Eaton’s Data Centre projects can involve every aspect of power distribution from low to medium voltage, UPS (uninterrupted power supply), and automation such as EPMS (Energy Power Monitoring System).

Please note that this role will require some travelling and working in different locations.


Your main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Health and Safety, Environmental on site
  • Coordinate and direct site works, manage third party suppliers on a daily basis. Main activities are fit-out, AC and DC cabling, battery assembling, commissioning of UPS & MV switchgears
  • Coordinate / and direct site works by Eaton and Eaton third party suppliers on a daily basis
  • Manage and coordinate Eaton software implementation
  • Represent the Project Manager on site and during local coordination meeting
  • Maintain close cooperation with Project Manager and site service coordinators to form an effective team for executing Eaton's scope of supply
  • Ensure effective use of resources to help reach profitability expectations
  • Identify and notify extra-work from parties request and document them to the Project Manager
  • Responsible for leading the Eaton on-site service team, and Eaton vendor workers to follow all defined procedures so as to achieve quality, cost, delivery and employee safety goals
  • Coordinate with all functional and service groups to meet customer requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Electrical engineering
  • Experience in power distribution of facilities and/or power plant
  • Industrial software deployment and networking
  • Building automation configuration and commissioning
  • Knowledge and experience with Health and Safety and Quality Management on construction/customer sites
  • A solid knowledge of SCADA, Data Center Infrastructure Management system or EPMS software
  • Experience of executing delivery projects, electrical work and field service & commissioning work
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring, cabling documents
  • Software configuration and networking
  • Knowledge and experrience with MS Office and MS project
  • Knowledge in Datacenter in a plus
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Willing to work on rotation
  • Good people management skills and experience of working with customers is critical
  • Proficient in English and other language will be a plus
  • Flexibility and adaptability - eagerness to learn all aspects of job is required for this role
