As a barista/team Capitan, your role encompasses all the responsibilities of a barista, along with additional duties related to leading and managing a team. Here are the job responsibilities typically associated with the position of a barista/team leader:
Barista Duties: You will still be expected to perform all the tasks and responsibilities of a barista, as mentioned in the previous response. This includes coffee preparation, beverage creation, customer service, maintaining cleanliness, stocking supplies, and upholding high-quality standards.
Shift Planning and Scheduling: As a barista/team Capitan, there will some days you will assist in creating work schedules, taking into account factors such as employee availability, peak hours, and staffing requirements. You will ensure that the team is adequately staffed during busy periods and that breaks are taken in a manner that maintains efficient operations.

Quality Control: Maintaining consistent quality across all beverages and ensuring that the team adheres to established standards is an important responsibility. You will conduct regular quality checks, provide feedback to team members, and take corrective measures when necessary to uphold the highest level of product quality and customer satisfaction.
Problem Solving: As a team Capitan, you will be responsible for resolving customer complaints or issues that may arise during service. This involves actively listening to customer concerns, finding appropriate solutions, and ensuring that customers have a positive experience.
Communication and Collaboration: You will serve as a liaison between the barista team and upper management. Effective communication is crucial to convey important information, provide updates on team performance, relay customer feedback, and implement any changes or initiatives from the management level. You will also collaborate with other departments, such as the kitchen staff or the management team, to ensure smooth operations and address any cross-functional issues.
Performance Evaluation: You MAY be involved in assessing the performance of your team members, conducting regular performance evaluations, and providing constructive feedback to help them improve their skills and achieve their goals.
Safety and Compliance: Ensuring a safe work environment and adherence to health and safety regulations is essential. As a team leader, you will enforce safety protocols, conduct regular safety inspections, and promote a culture of safety within the team.
Cleanliness: Making sure the store looks nice and presentable.

PAY TRANSPARENCY POLICY STATEMENT
Compensation for roles at NB varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to the specific client, office or remote location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Bacari provides a reasonable pay scale to include the hourly or salary range that Nature's Brew reasonably expects to pay for roles that may be hired in California or as set forth below.
